Meredith Kessler Wins Ironman 70.3 US Pro Championship

In it's inaugural year as a IM 70.3 venue, St. George hosted the world's best triathletes to battle for the ever valuable world championship qualification points and the IM 70.3 U.S. Pro title.

At the end of the day, ENVE sponsored athlete and 2012 Ironman St. George Champion Meredith Kessler took top honors in the women's race with a eventual victory over Germany's Svenja Bazlen.
First out of the water and onto the bike Meredith chose to ride a combo of the Smart ENVE System 60mm front wheel and a 95mm rear to tackle the hilly St. George bike course.  Exiting T2 Svenja had nearly a 5 minute lead which Meredith steadily whittled away at until mile 11 where Meredith took the lead for good.  When asked about her ENVE wheels Meredith said, "I am very lucky to have a wheel sponsor that cares about the specific needs of triathletes, the comfort and stability of the Smart ENVE System wheels allows me to conserve energy on the bike so I can be fresher for the run.

ENVE Athletes Lesley Paterson and Emma-Kate Lidbury also had impressive performances against the stacked St. George field.  Fresh off last weekends victory at the Whiskey 50 Offroad Lesley Paterson finished a respectable 6th place while recent IM 70.3 Texas winner Emma-Kate Lidbury finished 8th.
Nice job ladies!

Emma-Kate Lidbury Wins IM 70.3 Texas and Posts Fastest Bike Split

Less than two weeks after ENVE Triathlete Emma-Kate Lidbury suffered a dislocated shoulder, she has gone on to win Ironman 70.3 Texas.  Emma-Kate also posted the fastest bike-split of the day which proved to be key in her overall win.  Riding her Smart ENVE System 6.7 wheels Emma-Kate transitioned in T2 with a 9 minute lead. Kelly Williamson of Austin, Texas put up a fierce chase taking back all but 2:12 on the run to secure her second place finish behind Emma-Kate.

Yvonne van Vlerken 2nd at IM Melbourne

On a day made only more challenging by the strong winds Yvonne moved through the field with patience to take an incredibly well deserved 2nd place at the 2013 Ironman Asia Pacific Pro Championship leaving Hawaii runner up Caroline Steffen behind her for third.  Yvonne opted to ride her Smart ENVE System 6.7 front wheel paired with her 8.9 rear wheels to combat the gusty wind conditions on the bike course.  Her second place finish also means that she punched her ticket to Ironman Worlds Kona 2013.

ENVE athlete Meredith Kessler started the race firing on all pistons leading out of the water and battling on the  bike only to be plagued with issues during the run.  Meredith still finished in a solid 12th place.

Congrats ladies!
