Los discos de freno para carretera han llegado para quedarse, y creemos en una solución optimizada para esta aplicación. Emparejando la tecnología aerodinámica Smart ENVE System con la de las llantas de montaña ENVE hemos creado un juego de ruedas de carretera específico para freno de disco que reduce el peso y aumenta la resistencia en comparación a la llanta de las ruedas SES 3.4 con frenado clásico sobre la llanta. «Las ruedas de carbono específicas para freno de disco son una de las especialidades ENVE. Ahora que los discos de freno se están abriendo camino entre las bicicletas de carretera hemos tenido la oportunidad de volcar todo nuestro saber sobre ruedas para disco en las de carretera. La SES (Smart ENVE System) 3.4 Disc es el resultado de la unión del diseño de llantas de MTB con el perfil reductor de resistencia aerodinámica de la SES 3.4. El Smart ENVE System es único gracias al proceso de desarrollo de perfiles aerodinámicos de llanta como sistema que incluye a la bici y al ciclista. Las SES 3.4 presentan características como la geometría diferenciada delante/detrás, con una llanta más baja y ancha delante para maximizar la estabilidad con viento lateral, y una trasera más alta y estrecha para conseguir menor resistencia aerodinámica y alargar el flujo de aire que ya ha atravesado la rueda delantera, el cuadro y el ciclista. La SES 3.4 Disc es una llanta en fibra de carbono unidireccional que ahorra peso sobre la SES 3.4 de freno a la llanta, al no necesitar gestionar el calor y la expansión térmica en los flancos de freno de la llanta. La SES 3.4 Disc no dispone de pistas de freno en la llanta y solamente puede ser utilizada con frenos de disco. La SES 3.4 Disc presenta la tecnología patentada ENVE de orificios de radio moldeados que reducen el peso y aumentan la resistencia de forma que la llanta es capaz de soportar las fuerzas extra proporcionadas por el frenado de disco. La 3.4 Disc es altamente resistente a los impactos al compartir un diseño similar al de sus hermanas ENVE de montaña. El aumento de esta gran resistencia a los impactos hace de la 3.4 Disc una rueda muy competente para gravel y ciclocross. Estas características hacen que la 3.4 Disc sea la rueda perfecta para los ciclistas de carretera y gravel que quieren mejorar sus bicicletas equipadas con frenos de disco. ENVE SES 2.2, 3.4, 5.6, 7.8, 3.4 Disc, 5.6 Disc, 7.8 Disc, SES Rear Disc Wheel – There are no limitations on tire compatibility with these wheel models. Your ENVE SES wheels may be set up and run with inner-tubes and non-tubeless tires or tubeless (TL) and tubeless ready (TLR) tires alike. We recommend the use of a Tubeless (TL) or Tubeless Ready (TLR) 700x25c tire set up tubeless to maximize aerodynamics, rolling resistance, crosswind stability, and your ride experience.

Non-Tubeless Setup (i.e. I want to run inner-tubes) – Each ENVE SES wheelset is delivered with one roll of RED, model specific, ENVE tested and approved tubeless rim tape. This tape should be installed regardless of whether you intend to run your wheels tubeless or not. Do not run cloth or plastic (including ENVE) non-tubeless compatible rim tape or strips. Plastic rim strips and cloth tapes are too thick, bridge the drop-center rim channel, and will make installation and removal of tires extremely difficult. Cotton and/or Natural Fiber Sidewall TiresENVE does NOT RECOMMEND the use of cotton or natural fiber sidewall non-tubeless tires with ENVE SES wheelsets for EVERYDAY USE. These tires are intended for high-performance racing applications only. If you choose to run these tires, please inspect your tires after each ride for cuts, tears, and any signs of abrasion and/or wear in the sidewall and at the location of the rim/tire interface. If any wear and/or damage is identified, replace before riding. Riders who choose to run tires with cotton or natural fiber sidewalls do so at their own risk.

ENVE supports standard 100mm and boost 110mm front wheel 15mm thru-axle systems on all wheels except the M90 which uses a 20mm front axle. We can convert thru-axles to accommodate quick releases if your fork requires the use of a quick release. Front axle specifications are provided by your fork manufacturer.
