Ride Fuel - Four Ingredient Blueberry Smoothie

Words and Photos by Lottie Bildirici

I am always looking for different combinations when it comes to smoothies. My main goal is to keep it simple and to use ingredients that I always have on hand. Blueberries are a summer staple and when I have extras or they start to turn, I can always throw them into the freezer for smoothies. Frozen or fresh bananas give this smoothie a really nice creamy texture and – let’s be honest – with smoothies it all comes down to good consistency. The almond butter adds a rich nutty flavor as well as protein and fat to make this smoothie more of a complete meal/snack. Almond milk, berries, banana, almond butter + dash cinnamon – that’s all! And the simplicity of it makes it taste even better.

Recipe :

    • 1 cup unsweetened nut milk
    • 1 banana frozen or fresh
    • ½ cup blueberries frozen or fresh
    • 1 tablespoon almond butter
    • dash cinnamon

Directions:

    1. Blend everything in a blender until completely smooth. Once blended, top with some of your favorite toppings like almond butter, nuts or fruit! and enjoy!
