The 2020 BMC Bikes of Team NTT

Team Dimension Data becomes Team NTT for 2020, and ENVE remains as a leading equipment partner for the World Tour program. BMC, which came on as the bicycle partner in 2019, is back once again and offers the riders multiple bike options depending on the race parcours and their riding style.

From the aero Timemachine Road to the Teammachine SLR Disc, riders have the option for the very best in aero or climbing efficiency. Both bikes are disc brake equipped, something that the team decided to go all-in on with only a few exceptions at the start of the 2019 season. In addition to bike selection, the riders have their choice of ENVE 3.4 Disc, 5.6 Disc, 7.8 Disc, or 4.5 AR wheels. More often than not, riders opt for the 5.6 Disc unless it’s a true climbing day, then the 3.4 Disc becomes the preferred option. The 4.5 AR is the go-to throughout the cobbled classics. ENVE already offers tubeless compatibility on nearly every wheel in the line and the team is increasingly taking advantage of the benefits of the system.

With 2020 marking our fifth year with the program, we can’t help but reflect on some of the product development that goes directly back to working with the team. The AR line of wheels (4.5 AR and 3.4 AR) are the direct result of the team wanting a wheel that offered the aerodynamics our SES line is known for, while using a high volume 28-32 mm tire during the cobbled classics. The development and testing of the SES Disc rear wheel is another product that the team played an essential role in helping ensure it was capable of winning at the highest level. Most recently, the team logged tens of thousands of miles on the ENVE hubs to prove they were more than up to the task to deliver years of trouble-free riding to our customers.
