오늘날 수많은 로드바이크는 디스크 브레이크를 장착하고 있으며, 앞으로의 트라이애슬론 수퍼바이크 또한 디스크 브레이크를 장착하게 될 것입니다. 브레이크 표면 제거는 공기역학적 성능과 구조적 가능성의 영역을 새롭에 열어 줍니다. 제동으로 인한 고온을 관리해야 하는 평지 브레이크 표면을 설계하지 않아도 될 때 림의 무게를 줄이고 형태를 조정하여 공기역학적 성능을 개선할 수 있으며, 우수한 튜블리스 퍼포먼스를 발휘할 수 있게 됩니다.

디스크 브레이크는 전 세계에서 가장 공기역학적 성능이 뛰어난 자전거에 등장하기 시작했으며, SES 7.8도 모든 준비를 완료했습니다. 대부분의 휠 제조사들은 브레이크 트랙을 데칼로 가리거나 디스크 허브나 스포크를 더 늘려 림 브레이크에 최적화된 휠 모델을 디스크 브레이크 휠에 맞게 다시 만드는데, 이렇게 되면 상당한 퍼포먼스가 발휘되지 못한 채 남아있게 됩니다. 림의 브레이크 표면에 대한 제약을 없애는 것은 엔비가 림의 형태와 브레이크 트랙 자체를 완전히 다시 생각하도록 했습니다. SES 7.8 디스크는 디스크 브레이크에 최적화되어 있는 특허받은 SES 림의 곡선 형태를 갖추고 있습니다. 또한, SES 7.8 디스크 탄소섬유 클린처와 튜블러 휠은 열관리에 사용된 소재를 없애 훨씬 더 가벼워졌습니다. 브레이크 표면이 없기 때문에 림은 더욱 공기역학적으로 효율적이며 충격 저항도 우수합니다. 마지막으로 SES 7.8 카본 클린처는 튜블리스와 호환이 되며, 일반적인 이너 튜브와 타이어와도 구동할 수 있습니다. 현재 출시된 모든 SES 카본 클린처와 튜블러 제품과 마찬가지로, SES 7.8 디스크는 회전이 빠른 25mm 타이어에서 공기역학적으로 최적화되어 있습니다.

ENVE SES 2.2, 3.4, 5.6, 7.8, 3.4 Disc, 5.6 Disc, 7.8 Disc, SES Rear Disc Wheel – There are no limitations on tire compatibility with these wheel models. Your ENVE SES wheels may be set up and run with inner-tubes and non-tubeless tires or tubeless (TL) and tubeless ready (TLR) tires alike. We recommend the use of a Tubeless (TL) or Tubeless Ready (TLR) 700x25c tire set up tubeless to maximize aerodynamics, rolling resistance, crosswind stability, and your ride experience.

Non-Tubeless Setup (i.e. I want to run inner-tubes) – Each ENVE SES wheelset is delivered with one roll of RED, model specific, ENVE tested and approved tubeless rim tape. This tape should be installed regardless of whether you intend to run your wheels tubeless or not. Do not run cloth or plastic (including ENVE) non-tubeless compatible rim tape or strips. Plastic rim strips and cloth tapes are too thick, bridge the drop-center rim channel, and will make installation and removal of tires extremely difficult. Cotton and/or Natural Fiber Sidewall Tires – ENVE does NOT RECOMMEND the use of cotton or natural fiber sidewall non-tubeless tires with ENVE SES wheelsets for EVERYDAY USE. These tires are intended for high-performance racing applications only. If you choose to run these tires, please inspect your tires after each ride for cuts, tears, and any signs of abrasion and/or wear in the sidewall and at the location of the rim/tire interface. If any wear and/or damage is identified, replace before riding. Riders who choose to run tires with cotton or natural fiber sidewalls do so at their own risk.
